LAB Acoustics ("LAB Acoustics," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the LAB Acoustics mobile application (the "App") and related services. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• The LAB Acoustics mobile app (iOS and future versions)
• Services and features provided through the App including account access, login providers, design tools, and e-commerce features
• Communications you have with us through the App

This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from within the App.

We collect information in the following ways:

A) Information You Provide Directly

• Name (example: the display name you enter during sign-up)
• Email address
• Password (if you register using email/password)
• Customer support messages
• Order details (shipping or order-related information, if enabled in your product flow)

B) Account Authentication Information (Social Login)

You may sign in using third-party identity providers such as Apple, Google, and Facebook.

• Your unique user ID from that provider
• Your email address (if provided by the identity provider)
• Your profile name (depending on provider settings)

Important: We do not receive your full account password for your Apple/Google/Facebook login. Authentication is handled securely through those providers.

C) Payment & Billing Information (Stripe)

If the App enables purchases, we may collect or generate payment-related records such as:

• A Stripe customer ID associated with your account (example: stored as stripeCustomerId)
• Order transaction metadata (e.g., amounts, currency, product IDs)

We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and/or authorized payment processors.

D) Device & Technical Information

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• App version
• IP address (approximate location may be inferred)
• Language settings
• Time zone settings
• Crash logs, performance logs, and diagnostics
• Session and usage events (for analytics)

E) AR / Camera / Microphone / LiDAR / Sensor Data (If Enabled)

Depending on the features you use, the App may request permission to access camera, microphone, LiDAR/depth sensors, and photo library.

If you choose to use scanning or AR features, the App may generate room mesh data, depth maps, 3D geometry, scene anchors or AR maps, 3D model exports (e.g., USDZ or similar formats), and metadata you attach (room name, description, tags).

We do not access your camera/mic/photo library unless you grant permission and actively use those features.

F) Communications & Support

• Your name and email
• Message contents
• Attachments you provide
• Technical logs used to help debug your issue (if shared by you)

We use collected information to:

A) Provide and Operate the App

• Creating accounts
• Logging you in and keeping you authenticated
• Saving user preferences and profiles
• Enabling AR/scan workflows and generated design content
• Allowing you to browse products and services

B) Process Purchases and Payments

• Connecting your account to a Stripe customer profile
• Supporting order creation, confirmations, refunds (if applicable)

C) Improve the App and User Experience

• Debugging crashes and performance issues
• Understanding feature usage and improving UX
• Testing new flows and improving stability

D) Security, Fraud Prevention, and Compliance

• Preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
• Protecting accounts and transactions
• Verifying identity when necessary

E) Communications

• Account notices (security alerts, login alerts)
• Customer service responses

Depending on your location, we process personal data under these legal bases: contractual necessity (to provide the App and requested services), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App), consent (for permissions such as camera/microphone), and legal obligations (for compliance, accounting, fraud prevention).

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only as described below:

A) Service Providers (Vendors)

• Firebase Authentication (login and identity management)
• Firebase Firestore / Database (storing user account data)
• Stripe (customer creation and payments)
• Analytics providers (if enabled in the future)
• Cloud storage providers (for assets such as images, 3D files, scan exports)

These vendors are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

B) Legal Requirements

• We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
• We may also disclose information to protect the rights and safety of LAB Acoustics and our users, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce our Terms.

C) Business Transfers

If LAB Acoustics is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We keep your data only as long as necessary for account maintenance, service operations, legal and compliance requirements, and security and fraud prevention. You may request deletion of your data (see Section 12). Certain data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication mechanisms, restricted access controls, and vendor security best practices (e.g., Firebase/Stripe security). However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

A) Account Information

You may update certain information through the App (depending on what features are enabled).

B) App Permissions

• You can manage permissions via iOS settings, including Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Location (if applicable).

C) Marketing Communications

If we introduce marketing emails later, you’ll be able to opt out via unsubscribe instructions.

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

LAB Acoustics may process and store data in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in those locations.

Some App experiences may include automated recommendations, AI-generated design suggestions, smart product matching, or room treatment proposals based on scan inputs. When these features are enabled, we may process your inputs (including room geometry or configuration metadata) to generate recommendations. We do not use this information to identify you personally unless tied to your user account and required for the feature.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as: request access to your personal information, request deletion, request correction, object to certain processing, and request data portability. To submit a request, contact us using the information below.

If you are a California resident: We do not sell personal information. You may request access or deletion of your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may notify you inside the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated policy.
